On May 30, over 270 friends joined us to celebrate 25 years of joyful learning! Despite a downpour of rain to start the party, we had a blast! The rain made it that much more memorable. We were thankful to be joined by Bonnie Berkowitz, who, on behalf of Senator Bruce Tarr, presented us with a Citation from the Massachusetts Senate. We also acknowledged some "kids" from our first class (who are now 26) and our two most tenured teachers (87 and 90 years old!). Finally, Guido Voss, representing the Trustees of the Congregational Church and the founders of the school, received a plaque honoring all of the Founders of Joyful Noises.
Attendees were served ice cream by our current board while others had their faces painted. The highlight of the event was our two bouncy mazes! The children entered dry and exited wet and happy. We loved seeing so many children having fun despite the weather! A true testament to the power of play especially when it is outdoors. The Topsfield Fire Department helped us conclude the event with a visit from their fire truck for the kids to explore on their way out.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! Here's to another 25 years of joyful learning!
