Special Guest: Firefighter/Paramedic Jonathan Hallinan

As part of PreK's Community Helper week, JNP dad and Topsfield Firefighter/Paramedic Jonathan Hallinan visited our school with his truck and equipment. The children tried on his helmet, tested the thermal imaging camera, and asked a lot of questions about his truck and career. They were particularly interested in how and why firefighters use SCBA masks attached to a tank with compressed air to enter a building. Firefighter Hallinan also dressed up in his full gear to remind the children that even though firefighters can look scary, they are helpers who keep everyone safe. Thank you for joining us, Jonathan!
